In an age where finances are challenging for many (future) first time buyers, First Home Helper recognises that the cost of living crisis, as well as rises in interest rates, have impacted their ability to qualify for a standard mortgage. Whilst there are other options out there, first time buyers often struggle to find their way to them.
First Home Helper aims to make the journey to home buying easier and helps customers:
- Identify if they are in a good position to consider buying their first home
- Estimate how much they can borrow
- Create a savings plan to achieve their goal, which also tells them if they will qualify for a standard mortgage
- Triage them through alternative home buying options such as Rent to Own and Shared Ownership schemes and Family Springboard and Joint Borrower Sole Proprietor mortgages
- Understand each option in more detail through Instagram-style stories
